Movement and Power Testing
At The Physio & Injection Clinic in Barnsley and Knottingley, we believe in results-driven physiotherapy that helps you return to your full potential.
As part of our physiotherapy assessments, we use range of movement and muscle power testing to accurately monitor your progress.

With advanced handheld dynamometer testing, we measure strength and movement over time, providing clear visual feedback and comparison with your non-injured side.
This is particularly valuable during post-surgical rehabilitation, such as after knee surgery, to track recovery and guide your treatment plan.

If you’re experiencing ongoing pain and would like immediate imaging alongside your clinical assessment, ultrasound scanning may be suitable for you.

What Is Musculoskeletal Ultrasound?

Ultrasound scanning is a safe, non-invasive imaging tool used to visualise muscles, tendons, ligaments, bursae, and joints in real time. It allows us to assess soft tissue structures dynamically and can support a more accurate diagnosis when combined with physiotherapy assessment.

Conditions Commonly Assessed With Ultrasound
Ultrasound imaging can help identify and assess a range of musculoskeletal conditions, including:

-
Osteoarthritis
-
Bursitis
-
Tendinitis and tendinopathy
-
Rotator cuff tears

Calcific tendinopathy
-
Meniscal tears
-
Ligament injuries
Why Choose Point-of-Care Ultrasound?

-
Immediate imaging during your appointment
